I recently opened an account with nbt and have had nothing but problems since opening. first off they tell u there will be a hold on checks when u open. and they dont tell you for how long the holds will be for. well most of us would assume that it is for 5 days at most. well that is where we are all wrong its 10. and thats business days. i recently moved here from florida and i was with a credit union down in florida and never once had a problem at all and if i did i was able to speak with someone and get it resolved. i have contacted my bank and have talked with the bank manager and have had very poor service. pretty sad when u work all week to get ur check and then u gotta wait 10 business days in order to get ur check cashed. i guess all your bills are supposed to wait. and your kids have to wait to eat for 10 days. very unhappy with this bank.
