NEOUCOM, based in Rootstown, Ohio, is a community-based public institution that provides training to health professionals, and offers a doctor of medicine and a doctor of pharmacy degree. The NEOUCOM educational consortium includes the Rootstown campus, teaching hospitals, associated hospitals and health departments. The college offers a combined bachelor of science and doctorate of medicine program with the University of Akron, Kent State University and Youngstown State University. NEOUCOM has departments in the fields of anatomy, behavioral sciences, community health sciences, emergency medicine, family medicine, general surgery, geriatric medicine and gerontology, internal medicine, and microbiology, immunology and biochemistry. It also has departments of neurobiology, orthopedic surgery, pathology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, physiology and pharmacology, psychiatry, radiology, and urology.
