Douglas Resident Training Facilities, founded in 1976 and located in Roseburg, Ore., is a private nonprofit organization providing services to people with developmental disabilities. The organization was formed with the support of the Douglas County Association for Retarded Citizens. It operates five group homes and three supported living apartments in the Roseburg and Winston area in Oregon. Douglas Resident Training Facilities provides programs that are individualized and based on resident s needs. The organization promotes and facilitates independent living through community integration, work opportunities, socialization, and recreation. It recognizes the need to positively influence the community's awareness of special needs and abilities of its members with disabilities through various programs.
