the user below is pretty much spot on. everything about the store generaly sucks, especially the staff. there was this one big fat guy named gary that was really a jerk. he told one customer to "go $#&@ themselves" in front of her kids. they dont give you as much as gamestop does with your trades either. the store itself is dirty and is in need of a good cleaning. so yeah avoid this place if you can.

New Store Name: Overpriced & Out Of Stock

Mega Media Exchange used to be a great store with the lowest prices around, but recently they've raised their prices to where you're not even getting good deals anymore. I once purchased "I, Robot" for $0.99 but now it is $5.99. The game prices are comparable to GameStop, with GameStop usually being slightly cheaper. Their old Nintendo games are particularly overpriced, usually at least $5.00 more than Amazon.com. One time I even had an employee express disbelief at the price of a Super Nintendo game.

They used to have a great selection of movies, music, and video games, but now their selection is minimal and most things are never in stock. Everytime I call to ask if something is in stock, I get the "No, we don't have it and we don't know when we'll get more" line. They lack the great selection of games they once had, both retro and modern. Their inventory used to be varied, but now it's multiple copies of less than mediocre titles.

The staff and customer service is also hit-or-miss. The employees used to be great: courteous, knowledgable on what they're selling, going out of their way to help you, and even telling you if a movie or game is bad so you don't waste your money. Now, most of them are ignorant and unfriendly, save for one or two. Don't expect friendly phone service either; I've been hung up on both intentionally and accidentally multiple times. The staff does not wear uniforms either, which can be confusing when it is busy and you're in need of assistance.

The store is also poorly laid out and unorganized. I don't know what the owner is thinking by practically hiding the merchandise they're trying to sell. Many of the customers leave empty-handed because they can't find something that is supposed to be in stock. Some of the customers themselves are quite shady and rude. I would not let my kid near these people.

The quality of the merchandise has went downhill as well. I used to buy from them regularly and never had a single problem with a disc or cartridge. Recently, I've had four separate instances where the merchandise I bought was defective. One was a gift and I specifically asked about the return policy (7 days), which they extended. However when I went to return it, I had the hassle of explaining to three different people that all I wanted was to exchange it for something else!

So to make a long story short, I would not recommend Mega Media Exchange due to the high prices, the lack of good product selection, poor customer service, shady customers, and lack of quality.
