My name is Gail Hayes, and I have been a licensed daycare provider for over 30 years.  I am the mother of 3 grown children, and also have a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from Michigan State University.  My husband Donald is a school counselor at Rosemount Middle School.  My program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, and creative development. Within the program's daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving and personal interaction skills, and learn concepts through first-hand experiences. Children develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self and teacher directed activities. Opportunities for solitary play as well as group activities are provided. I strive to serve as a positive role-model, and provide care that is supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child's individual needs. I respect families as the primary and most important providers of care and nurturing, and I believe parents and teachers are partners in children's care and education.  Most of all, I want to make my home a place where your child can feel a part of the family.  What I, as a family childcare provider offer over a center, is consistency of care.  Your child will not have to deal with new faces every time they enter the door.  I have been a provider for many years, and this is my life career. I also serve all organic meat, dairy products and fresh produce to the children.
