Oh So Clean Housekeeping

My mother has used this company for years! the owner Patty (who I never met) used to be the housekeeper and did an extremely wonderful job, but then turned this job over to her daughter, Ashley who apparently decided after complaints about her excessive talking on the phone while cleaning, not cleaning bathrooms with water just "wiping down" everything with one hand, as she used the other hand to talk on her cell phone AND the company owner had requested 2 or more years ago, that my mother make the payments directly to Ashley (instead of to the company) as she was having financial difficulties, but then recently raised her hourly rate and was charging one full hour even if she only worked 5 minutes into the hour exclaiming "thats how she paid all her employees", when my Mother reminded her that she had been paying Ashley directly, at her (Patty's) request, NOT the company. Patty then told my Mother to start back writing checks to the company, not directly to Ashley anymore and the terms would still be if a partial hour is worked in she is to get paid the full hour.
Ashley made excuses for not being able to do the work on a day SHE scheduled, went on vacation, had not been here in a month, was scheduled for tomorrow and her Mom called today to say Ashley can no longer work here.
My point is this if your going to pay your children "under the table" when they were hired through your company because they are having financial problems, you better be prepared to suffer the consequences of your illegal behavior or at least train them to do as good a job as you do, so their worth the extra money!
