Mr Sanders gave a fair fixed labor cost and materials estimate to repair fire damaged floor joists and flooring, sand and finish the floors. I was happy with the job although he never returned after the first day. We had an optional estimate to replace the 12-step stairs and, seeing the quality of workmanship had him do those, much to my regret. Treads [the part walked on] were glued in first with risers [the vertical part] occasionally glued to them second. This is backwards from normal stairs...and they don't just squeek, they snap, crackle, and pop when stepped on. This was done early June.

Would not recommend this contractor. We had issues with the work done after it was finished; not large issues, but issues none the less. My husband addressed these concerns with Mr. Sanders and was basically told that we could fix the problems ourselves. Also, while working, a member of the crew damaged a 220 breaker in the fuse box, causing damage to some electrical in the home. After having an electrician correct the issue, I tried numerous times to contact Mr. Sanders via phone, e-mail and letter. No response was ever received from he or his staff. Overall, the floors look good, but a true professional would've addressed the things we were unhappy with and would've returned my call concerning the extra cost incurred due to negligence on his part.
