Would NOT recommend- Due to unforeseen circumstances of the company, my move time was delayed by 2.5 HOURS. I did receive a discount and the owner was apologetic, but it was still a huge inconvenience. I regret ever using this company, and would not use this service again.

Scenic City Movers---Buyer BEWARE! We have moved 8 times in 10 years due to our professions. This is BY FAR the worse moving company we have EVER experienced.

They dropped a 30 year old ladies chest, busting the door and beveled glass. He promised that it would be restored to it's original condition but instead he put a cheap flat mirror in the door which didn't fit and it has since fallen out and almost broke my toe! I have made many attempts to give Chris Carter the opportunity to make this right and all my attempts have been ignored. This was not the ONLY problem we experienced with Scenic City Movers.

SHORT STAFFED - We were promised 5 men and 1 woman on the job. The first day there was a 3 men/ 1 women team. The next day they had 4 men and 2 women - 1 man walked off the job and they sent one home. Leaving 2 men. Chris had one worker that knew what he was doing. The rest were extremely inexperienced!

ALWAYS TARDY - The first day they were suppose to be there at 7 am but showed up at 9 citing problems with fog. The second day they were suppose to be there at 8 and got there around 10 citing a wreck on the highway. The third day his father was in hospital and the move was put on hold. Not one day did they arrive at the time they said they would. Everyday was a different excuse.

UNPROFESSIONAL- Workers Smoked on the job right outside my door. Left cigarette butts and cans in my yard. Asked personal questions like how much money my husband makes? One guy spent most of his time texting on his phone leaving one man struggled with my furniture.

CUT CORNERS- Chris cut corners and my furniture paid the price! They did not wrap the furniture with the plastic wrap. Instead they put a moving bankets around the furniture and taped it together with a small strip of moving tape. As the furniture was being moved, the tape gave way and blankets fell off. This resulted in doors flying open, some drawers fell out on to the floor, some hitting walls and other furnishing. The scatches and dents from this move is ridiculous! I caught 1 worker picking up heavy furniture up by the knobs. I stopped him but now the knob is bent. They failed to take the knobs off some of the furniture and since they didn't wrap it properly some of the knobs were bent or pulled out. Three drawer pulls are missing from my desk and another broken. There are many scratches in walls of my new home as they were not careful.

BROKEN CONTRACT- Chris said my ladies' chest would be restored to its original condition. Rather, he replaced a beveled mirror with cheap flat mirror that was not cut to the proper size. He self installed and the mirror shortly fell out, nearly breaking my toe. Now the door does not close at all. I made numerous calls to give Chris the opportunity to make the things right. He has ignored my every attempt. I finally called the mirror place where he said he bought the mirror. I asked about the beveled issue they said that they were told to go with the cheaper flat mirror due to the cost.

NOT EQUIPPED FOR THE JOB. They put up 3 beds in my house. Its almost comical but true that 3 out 3 of the beds fell when we got in them. One of the beds actually broke when it fell. After 8 moves I can say with experience that this was the worse moving experience of our lives. We've had things broken in every move...most people do... but NOT like this. I have a box of EXPENSIVE china that was obviously marked FRAGILE and it was clearly dropped as half the dishes in the box were broken. Previous movers took down the TV, cable box, etc so they would know how to put it back up. Chris's group did this too. ONLY when we got to the new location the movers forgot where they put the cable box. I had to pay $100 to get a new one. Two months later I found the other box in the my grandchild's toy box. The move was a night mare and I continue to find items busted, scratched or broken. Still no response from the owner!
