Here is our experience with breezewood kennels:
We called and spoke the owner, Becky. We have a very active dog with a medical condition and she needs her medications twice a day at specific times. The feedback was positive and she said it would not be a problem; they can handle it and do it all the time. So we made a reservation, they had room for her and all seemed fine. We were planning to go on vacation and needed to make sure we have a good place for our dog.

A few weeks before our vacation we went to tour the facility. We were not impressed by what we saw. This is a family owned business at the end of a very long and unpaved driveway. We again discussed our dog and we clarified she needs her medications twice a day at specific time. Again, they were fine with that.

Then, that evening, we get an e-mail stating that they cannot administer the medications in the needed times and therefore cannot take our dog. This is two weeks before we had to leave! So we have no solution for the dog. This is really unacceptable as we see it. If there was an issue with taking our dog, why not say it from day one? Why waste our time and then stick us without a solution? I called and tried to talk to them, they are not returning the calls. We see this as rude and unprofessional behavior.

This is a shady business practice, I recommend avoiding this kennel. I suspect that they don’t spend as much time with the dogs as they say they are, hence why they cannot administer medications on time…

Breezewood Kennels is without a doubt a 5 star facility for your pets. I have boarded several times (3 large breed dogs) and my dogs loved it and most importantly she treated them like family! Becky does not hesitate to answer any and all questions, has convenient pick up and drop off hours, offers a serene spa like atmosphere and goes above and beyond any kennel in making your experience stress free. There is no other place for my dogs!
