Kim's Academy of Roy is awesome!! Shaun Hugh is absolutely amazing at what he does. My son has loved attending classes and learning the art of Taekwondo. Love watching Master Hugh take in brand new students and watch their transformations begin.

I am extremely impressed with Kim’s Academy of Roy; they are a small business run by an amazing and fun loving family. Mr. Hugh the instructor does an awesome job with teaching all ages. Every class everyone learns something new, making the class really fun. My daughter 13 and son 10 have been going to Kim’s Academy of Roy for 3 weeks now. My kids rarely miss a day that they can attend, because they love it so much. My son said, “Tae Kwon Do is better than any sport.” My daughter and son are excited everyday to participate in the next class, because Mr. Hugh makes them fun and enjoyable for all ages.
Because I am a business person myself, I relate to Tae Kwon Do in that it teaches good fundamentals of how to be a good follower so that they can become a great leader. Mr. Hugh teaches empowerment and leadership by allowing the lead student to teach the class for brief times when Mr. Hugh has potential customers come in. The leads have no problem stepping in and doing an excellent job, this indicates that Mr. Hugh has done an excellent job of building leaders. A good leader also has to be a good follower so Tae Kwon Do is good for anyone who wants to learn the necessary skills of becoming a great leader.

Our son has been going to Kim's Academy of Roy for a year now and we LOVE our Dojang family. Mr. Hugh is amazing with the kids. As a former teacher I love watching the interaction and mutual respect between Mr. Hugh and his students. Teachers in all areas could learn a lot from Mr. Hugh. My son has always been very hesitant to try new things. The day of his first class he drug his feet on going but the smile on his face as he walked out the door after his first class was worth the struggle to get him to go and his first words when we got in our car "Yes, I was wrong...I LOVED it!" In the last year his confidence and self-esteem has flourished and that is all because of Mr. Hugh and his dedication to his students and wanting them to excel and become successful not only in Tae Kwon Do but in all aspects of their lives. Without any hesitation I wholeheartedly recommend Kim's Academy of Roy and Mr. Hugh to anyone looking into martial arts for their child or family.
