I started working with this contractor for my primary home doing a FHA 203k which they say they specialize in. Process started ok. Over priced but I knew that going into the deal. Told me project would take 4-6 weeks. Took about double that time close to 3 months. Not willing to work with any pricing what's so ever if you are doing a 203k. Work needs to be watched very carefully. I had to constantly complain about thing to get them done the right way. But they would fix them with no charge. No compassion more importantly. Also make sure to get every single item written on paper or otherwise it's not gonna happen.

Using Detroit Build as my 203k contractors was one of the worst decisions that I have ever made. Their HVAC and electrical contractors were nice and seemed to do okay work. Their cabinet/molding/building contractors were not only rude but did a terrible job. I have no experience with floor molding, and I did a better job myself. When using a 203k the lender puts aside an extra 3% of money if anything goes over, don't expect to get any of that back if you use DB. They find a way to keep it and a lawsuit wasn't worth the hassle at the time for me. It is not worth the headache. Find someone else.
