Hermann's Bakery has been popular in Royal Oak for decades for good reason. Their party cakes and pastries are excellent, but anyone who has ever tried their delicious bread will testify that it is the best product of all. A lifelong Royal Oak native, I moved up north four years ago. I still make trips down to Hermann's to stock up on bread. There is just no other bread that compares...and I have tried bakeries from here down to Royal Oak. Hermann's is the best!

Do not trust.. Yes they do have good pastries but there customer service skills are to be desired. I ordered my wedding cake from them and it was wrong. They were given pictures and specifics. They kept the pictures also.They delivered it early because it was easier for them. They made me the wrong cake and when I tried to get it fixed they told me it was to late. They could do nothing for me. They stated it was just as much my fault as it was their's because I should have paid more attention to my receipt. It did not state on my receipt square cake that is true but I do not work for a bakery so I do not know how they code or right up their orders so THEY know how to prepare it. When I called to speak to the owner Mr. Hermann he asked what I did with the wrong cake. I told him I had no choice but to serve it to my guests. He stated well if it was wrong you should have returned it.. I'm sorry it was my wedding day I can't return a cake when I had 150 people in a hall wanting cake and oh yeah I'm in my wedding dress 20 miles away.. Thats why I paid the extra $50.00 for delivery.. Don't order anything from this bakery. If you want a donut that you can see in the case right in front of you its fine.. But DO NOT TRUST THEM.. THEY ARE RUDE AND WILL YELL AT YOU AND SAY ITS YOUR FAULT.
