This is the best Mexican food in the Charlottesville/Albemarle/Greene area by far. Louis and his family and the other workers are great people who take good care of their clients.

The food is great but the service is very poor. The servers have horrible attitudes. They act like it is a problem when you ask them for anything. They treated me like a third class citizen. Like I was a bad person and they hated serving me.

What a fabulous little restaurant. If you enjoy the mexican restaurant experience then you can't afford to pass this up. The atmposphere is laid back, the service excellent and the food is a must. From the chips and salsa to the fajitas, El Agave will leave you wanting more. We go there any time we get the chance and highly recommend it.
