I called Laura to book a new customer appointment for a haircut while we were recently vacationing in Ruidoso. I received the best haircut I have had in 10 years!
Laura was responsive to my styling input and she is capable and courteous. I would recommend her to everyone!

Laura has done my hair for decades, I would give her the most impossible hairstyle from perms to dying my hair to platinumblonde, to a merlot red and BACK TO platinum BLONDE.. do you realize the skills and patients that goes into this...? I've given her examples and pictures of what I want and she informs me that I will get the best hair style possible for my face shape. She is an artist with a great sense of style. If you have been beautified by Laura you understand the creativity and realism she isn't shy to tell you. Calm Down Katrina

Laura has done my hair for 10 years. I worked along side her for 7 of those. I learned so much from this extremely talented woman. Her cuts are precise. Her color as well. I am honored to have learned from the best!

Laura has been my colorist and stylist for 15+ years. In my opinion she is a color genius! With her cut and color expertise she takes my aging, frizzy, ho-hum hair and transforms it into fabulous hair every time. Thank you, Laura, for your kind and competent service through the years.

Laura is a butcher. She is unable to hear what you want or give a decent hair cut. I would look better if I had gone to one of those 7 dollar hair places. I took in a photo of a Bob cut. I told her that I liked the shape of it. When she asked if I wanted it that short I said I wouldn t mind keeping the length, which was only an inch or so anyway. She talked about layering it. I reminded her that there was no need to do so. I indicated the photo showed no sign of layering. We went round about this several times. In hindsight I should have realized she could not hear me & left. But with the first gaping hole in the back of my head I was committed. Still I said something, & still she was insistent that this was the only way to get the look I want. I didn t get the look I wanted. The look I got in no way resembles the photo or what I asked for. Nor did she actually keep said length. So the next day I called to ask if we could sexy this mess up a bit. She said to bring in a photo of what I wanted....Just wow! Me: I tried that & now I have all these horrid scraggly ends to deal with. Her: Did you want it square? I was aghast. Did I not show her a photo of that very shape? Thats when I realized I couldn t let try to fix it. Laura is completely incompetent. It s going to take me several years to get my hair all one length again. Just stay away.

I went to A Cut Above today and was lucky enough to get mischelley to do my color and hair cut. She did so good that i will traveling the hour to have her do my hair from now on!! She is very talented and a constant laugh as well! I love her style! Go see for yourself, highly recommedded.

Best salon ever! Not only are they talented as ever but very personable!! Go see Mischelley or Laura!!!! They are both master colorists!
