After months of searching for the right SUV to carry seat fulls of babies (daycare), I unexpectedly found a 2013 Ford Explorer Limited at Sierra Blanca Motors in Ruidoso in May 2016, just seven months ago. The salesman said my trade would not work, so Jason Ware, the used car manager, made it happen. I felt great about the purchase. It ate up all negative equity from my truck because it was priced at the low end of retail, leaving us with positive equity for the first time in years. I specifically asked Mr. Ware what was wrong with the vehicle to be priced so low. His response "Nothing wrong with it. It just sits here because nobody wants a two wheel drive in Ruidoso." Ruidoso being in the mountains, his answer made sense. BUT I ASKED THE QUESTION AND HE LIED! He did NOT disclose the accident and structure damage when asked. Not long after the purchase, mind you it's practically new with all the bells and whistles, the CV shaft busted along with the bracket that holds it on. Not happy! We replaced it since we bought it as is, no warranty. We started having more trouble with it, like a short or surge that causes the compressor to rapidly kick off and on even when the AC isn't on. We also started hearing another clunking sound from the front end. Fed up! We decided to try trading it in only to find out when the new dealership pulled a Carfax and informed us it had been involved in an accident with structure damage. It should have been a totaled by the insurance company and never make it to another car lot, but it went to two different auctions and then managed to get a title for it and put it on a lot. This vehicle had frame damage and was repaired via weld and is not safe. Sierra Blanca Motors was informed and asked to replace the vehicle with another of equal value. No help. They wanted $5000 down or for us to raise our payments. They were not willing to take the loss and make this right. I am filing complaint with the BBB and an Albuquerque attorney general.

Was wrong to be excited

I love a couple hours away, while I scoured the internet for a great price on a car close to me, I came across Sierra Blanca motors and a vehicle that fit budget and expectations. I was told the car would be delivered a day after! Unbelievable right?! I was willing to go get it the following weekend, but I thought if they are willing to deliver, I am willing to accept their generosity! Unfortunately I get a call the evening it was to be delivered and they canceled on me, due to another person needing to reschedule when they wanted their vehicle, which was also going to be delivered to my home town. I was upset that, my getting a car, was dependent on another needing one. I shrugged it off as the salesman assured me it would be delivered the next day or early in the week. The next day passes and I decide not to call, I didn't want to seem like I was bugging of course. The following day goes by and still no call, text, or email. Nothing. So I decide to call after work, no answer. Overall, I just feel like it started out as a pleasant experience to very unprofessional behavior, and though I know, them losing my business is not any sweat on their back, I felt unimportant and feel the need to let others know to approach them with caution. I will be taking my money elsewhere and won't be referring or contacting them again.
