G&G Steel is one of two steel plants in General Southern Industries, a company that makes large steel, aluminum and cement products. G&G provides all types of steel fabrication, specializing in industrial furnaces for the aluminum and steel industries, grinding mills and kilns for the cement and lime industries and various types of lock and dam gates for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Its overseas sales operations have included a line of custom steel structures for Saudi Arabian and Egyptian poultry producers and the Kuwait Sheraton. Situated on 15 acres in Russellville, Ala., G&G Steel s manufacturing facilities encompass more than 200,000 square feet.
