Located within the Boston Post Road Historic District this National Historic Landmark in Rye, NY boasts breathtaking views and is home to unique programs in American History, Social Justice, Architecture and Environmental Stewardship. Visit this NY State Path Through History site and travel from Paleo-Indian settlement times to the Revolutionary War, to the Golden Age of Sailing. Visitors to this Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area destination and African American Heritage Trail site can learn about the Jay family's antislavery legacy and hear stories of the enslaved and emancipated families that lived and were buried at the site. 1838 Jay Mansion Tours: Sun. 2 - 5pm, April to November; 1907 Carriage House Hours: Wed. to Fri. 10am - 4pm, April to December. Group and school tours also available by advance appointment.
