Ate here with my parents last year, food was just okay. Then a friend recommended that I try it - so I did again, still the food was just okay.



Must be snakebit, because I thought I'd try this place again (cuz I was in the neighborhood during the lunch hour), and now I know why it's just okay --- the staff was not very friendly, bordering on rude.



Not much of a welcome, no smiles, barely a hello. It must take these people ALL day to wake up so you people at the dinner hour get good service. Besides the fish tasted old and tired, not fresh.



It's really difficult to enjoy your (any) meal when the food servers don't act like much of a host - just kinda putting in their time.



I'll stick with Sushi Cafe, where the food is really good, portions are generous, it's affordable, and the staff is engaging and makes you want to come back.



Forget about Akebono - forever!!!
