It's always sad to see a good association go downhill

I always caution my clients before purchasing in a condo community: for better or worse, the association will, to a large extent, determine your quality of life. That's why well managed associations like Westlake often thrive even during challenging economic times. Amara used to be a well managed association, enforcing rules sensibly and always keeping it's primary mission paramount: enhancing the quality of life for its home owners. Sadly, things have changed quite drastically recently. Inexperienced board members have taken over, management costs have been shorted, and some very, very bad decisions have been made in a misguided attempt to pick up the slack. When legitimate noise/nuisance complaints aren't addressed promptly and effectively, both the violators and those forced to endure the infractions are negatively affected. When serial parking offenders are not dealt with at thesame time casual dinner guests are towed without proper statutory warning, the deleterious effects on quality of life can last for years.

After having sold so many units over the years to so many clients who have spent many happy years at Amara, I find it so sad that I now have an obligation to disclose the multitude of quality of life issues that are currently being mismanaged and growing worse.

But any association can get back on track. It just takes smart and dedicated board members, competent management, and involved home owners.

I truly look forward to the time that I will be able to recommend Amara as a good condo choice in North Natomas once again.
