Had a load of top soil fertilizer delivered it was full of garbage I mean trash even found a fork in the load

We picked up some high quality...

We picked up some high quality ground cover. It was beautiful and I was ecstatic about the way it looked. Ran out so drove back to get more .I was glad they restocked their supply because we took the last of it that morning. When we got home we started spreading it and found it was a lower grade of bark. Not the same cut or quality at all. I am not happy with yard or with them. I asked for the higher grade and they gave me a lower grade, yet charged me for the higher grade. Don't trust them!

Tainted soil and terrible service!

We bought $200 worth of compost to fill raised beds to grow organic veggies. Delivery was set for 9am on a Sat. Hasties arrived around 7. They said their compost was 80% cedar and 20% forest humus, but it is full of pieces of plastic, particle board, and paint chips. We called a dozen times before they sent someone over to take a look. He scooped up several handfuls, agreed that it wasn’t right, and assured me that he was going directly from our house to his supplier. He promised to call the following day. After not hearing back from him we called and were offered their supplier’s contact information. We didn’t pay their supplier 200 hundred bucks; we paid Hasties! We talked to various managers who always promise to call back but never do. We have a six-month-old baby and we wanted his first solids to be organic veggies we grew, but instead the greatest satisfaction we can now get from this experience is to have someone learn from our mistake and shop elsewhere.

Hastie’s Capitol Sand and Gravel has serviced the Sacramento area since 1941. The product purchased by this consumer was a Premium Organic Compost. This product is a green waste material. It is composed of refuse, and other types of waste that are ground up to compost. It does contain non soil particles. My employees are careful to inform our customers of the consistency of this product. I do not sell compost that is 80% cedar and 20% forest humus. I am not in the practice of giving out our supplier’s information to our customers. Delivery of our products are estimated during a 4 hour time frame and not set until dispatch is complete the night before the delivery. Delivery is free if at least 4 yards of material is purchased for delivery in the Sacramento area. This customer has been 100% reimbursed for his purchase.
