I can't think of a reason to recommend this restaurant. Worst service ever. When we came in, someone across the room gestured toward the seating area so we chose a table. An unsmiling waiter slapped down some tea and menus, then left. We had a question about how a dish was prepared, and he acted like it was a) a stupid question, and b) a great inconvenience to answer. When we ordered, we asked for water and white rice with our meal (the waiter didn't ask if we wanted either), but then we had to ask again for both after the food arrived. (One positive: the food came pretty quickly.) The food was about a C-. Too salty, and even the hot and sour soup was a miss. No one ever checked in with us or refilled the water glasses, and finally we had to flag down another staff person to get the bill. My bf got a terrible headache shortly after we left, probably from the msg. We will not return.

I went to New Lai Wah restaurant two to three time before. The food is good but with a lot of MSG. The services of the waitresses ad waiters are the worst I have ever seen in any restaurants. I don't know if the owner of the restaurant knew about this or they just have that "if-you-come-to-this-restaurant-you-have-to-tolerate-bad-service" kind of attitude. One time, I went to buy some take-out, they charged me 4 dolloars more. I asked the reason, and the waitress said, :Oh! the price went up several months ago, but we did not have time to change the price on the menu." It is fraud.
