If you like old fashioned restaurants with traditional meat and potatoes food, try Sam's Hofbrau. It's been at the corner of Watt and El Camino for decades and attracts a steady crowd who appreciate the German style menu. They're even celebrating Oktoberfest this month.

This is like having thanksgiving turkey all the time. Turkey, prime rib sandwiches mashed potatoes salad. Great food.

Food is good here, everything is a la cart and very hearty portions. Older style ambiance. Lots of parking available.
