Provided by YP.comI went to Sekous and had a great meal. It is a very family friendly place. The Brisket was delicious and the sides were incredible. I especially liked the macaroni and cheese. I would definitely go again.

Provided by YP.comSo glad I did not research the reviews before visiting Sekou's because I certainly would have missed out on an amazing treat. We accidentally ended up at the restaurant and decided to play it safe by ordering a starter and splitting a main dish. We had the fried okra (even my grandma would have approved) and the brisket dinner with salad and the mac and cheese. AWESOME!! We were both full and completely satisfied and returned the next day for lunch. We just had to try the greens. My only disappointment in the whole experience is that I live 2 hours away and will not be able to become a frequent guest. But whenever I am in Sacramento, Sekou's will be my place.

Provided by YP.comDon''t waste your time or money. I heard about this place on Good-Day Safcramento and made plans to go. I should have been suspicious when we showed up on Saturday night and there was no one in the place, but we sat down anyway. All I can say is there is nothing good about this place. I had the slow cooked Brisket, candied yams and baked beans. When it showed up, the (so called) slowed cooked beef was so tough the steak knife wouldn't even cut, and the part you could cut was the 99% fat. If in fact this brisket had been cooked for 14 hours as stated on the menu, this would have cooked off. The candied yams and baked beans where right out of a can (really). It came with cornbread, that was at best was hardly edible. The (2) crab cakes we paid $8.00 for had shells in them. I was with 3 other people, who had hamburgers, shrimp and chicken wings. Everyone in our party was disatisfied with their meal. When the bill came, the waitress stated "I took half you price off your meal). As I did not touch my meat, 7.99 for canned yams and baked beens seems a little steep. Don't make the same mistake we did and go to Sekous!!!!!!
