Judge Virga has dedicated more than 45 years to his judicial & legal career. He started his career in 1959 at the Sacramento District Attorneys Office as a trial attorney in the felony division where he successfully prosecuted major criminal cases. In 1963 he entered private practice where he specialized in all aspects of civil trial litigation, personal injury, professional negligence, products liability, employment discrimination & wrongful termination, insurance bad faith, premises liability. Judge Virga served more that 22 years as a trial judge, including 2 years as Presiding Judge of the Sacramento County Superior Court. In September 1994 Judge Virga retired from the Superior Court and established his private ADR practice. Since then he has presided over hundreds of ADR cases in virtually every area of the law - family law & probate law
