I love Mexican food and have long been frustrated by the lack of a good Mexican restaurant in Sag Harbor. After Agave left, I kept meaning to try Cilantro's but only last night got around to it. The food was absolutely awful. The "steak" in the fajitas was tough and chewy to the 10th power. The cheese burrito had no cheese in it. When we called the owner to let him know (and hopefully improve his food), he was abusive and insulting, suggesting I don't know about Mex food - which happens to be wrong since I grew up in Cali and have been cooking my own for years. Finally, he said he wasn't worried if I told my friends about my bad experience at his restaurant since he doubted that I had any friends to tell. I kid you not. Stay away from this place unless you want terrible food, uninformed staff and an owner who will insult you if you don't take it all with a smile.
