Started in 1983 by volunteers from Lutheran Churches in Saginaw to provide quality merchandise at affordable prices to low income families in Saginaw County.  Since that time over $300,000 in profits given away in the form of grants to social ministry agencies of Lutheran Social Services of Michigan.  These agencies include Foster Care and adoption, Assisted Living facilities for physically and mentally challenged, nursing homes for the aged and services for refugees and young adults leaving the Foster Care program.  Volunteers and merchandise come from all over Michigan to support the ministry of Action Thrift.

The prices are too high, have great items and stock but since the new people took it over all the prices went way up just can't afford to shop there anymore.

I agree the pricing is a little to high for a thrift store . Dept store pricing on some items if not all.help the needy not the greedy. God Bless !!
