WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE-MANAGER ON DOWN

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY PRACTICE BAD BUSINESS.

I went to the PEARL VISION AT THE FASHION SQUARE MALL and ordered glasses through them on Dec 12, 2008.

On the 23rd I hadn't heard anything so I checked in the store. The lady said that they should be in the 24th. At 10 am the next morning, I phoned the store and was told that they had come in and I could pick them up. I drove to the mall christmas eve. Not a fun trip considering Michigan weather and the fact that all roads, stores and malls especially are CRAZY on christmas eve. I get to pearl vision at 1230 and the guy goes into the back, 20 minutes later he returns empty handed to tell me that they are there but they have to be processed. I ask to speak to a manager and am told she is gone until after the holidays. The guy that processes them is at lunch and I can come back around 430 pm to pick them up. I had family holiday obligations so I leave and go back the day after christmas, 26th, same poor kid working. This time he goes in the back and returns over thirty minutes later with a tray in his hands. My frames are on one side and the lenses are floating seperatly in the bottom of the tray. I am told that they couldn't fit my lenses into the frames and that they had to be cut down to fit. I ask to speak to the manager. I am pointed to a woman who is now sitting at a counter behind me. I start asking the crazy questions anyone would ask I wanted someone to explain to me, lie to me, apologize- something. NOPE. Without making eye contact tells the guy to give me a refund. Seriously? The guy said he would personally run them to the one hour vision place and assure it was completed. Before I left I got the number for their regional manager and phoned her. Of course she is out due to holidays so I left a message with her receptionist.*still haven't heard from her and it's the 17th of Jan 2009* I show up the 27th,same guy there again. He hands the case over the counter and even though I have contacts on I try the glasses on to assure they aren't way off fitting wise. I get home and take my contacts out and I notice that the frame is bent in two places causing a bit of distorted vision! I immediatly call the store- same guy. I tell him I want the glasses reordered due to the flaws. He did not sound surprised one bit. Said that he would expedite the order and I should keep the frames until the new glasses came in. I wait for a call and none comes. Today, Jan 17, 2009, I decide to stop by the store to see what is going on. A guy goes into the back and 20 minutes later the manager comes out. She has my tray, but it's empty. She says that she just called the lab to see what was going on and that they told her that the frames were on back order. I get a refund because I obviously need to go somewhere else to get glasses. I sign two sheets, she hands my folder back to me and says "your all set" THATS IT?!!!!! Still no "i'm sorry" nothing! And why they didn't call me to tell me my frames were on back order especially after all the problems I have had is beyond me. Why they waited for me to come in to call the lab is beyond me. I do know one thing and that is this pearl vision doesn't need your business. They obviously have too many customers already. The manager was/is the worst example of what an employee should be like. She is supposed to be leading those other workers and taking care of complaints. Yet, she was the one who cared the least and treated me like I was not worth her time. She has no idea who I am as a person yet, felt she was better than me and that I did not deserve any respect or explaination. Her calloused attitude towardsme and the whole situation is sickening. Not to mention the fact that the regional manager has still not contacted me. That alone doesn't say much about this store. I guess my next step is the BBB. I am sure that they would be interested in knowing about my experience as would my insurance provider.
