I have been banking with Peoples Trust Company for many years. It's great to have a local bank with superior customer service. No hidden fees, and they truly care about their customers.

Stay away from People's Trust....

Stay away from People's Trust. Just like all banks, they are fine until you have any sort of an issue. That's when you discover how good the bank is or isn't.

I recently had an overdraft, honest mistake. My overdraft was about $1.40 or so. They sent a notice charging me $22. I called and they did not have the courtesy to reverse it. It's not the money but the principal. I could easily pay for this by working instead of coming here and posting this warning about the bank. In any case their reason was, "It was not a bank mistake, so the fee is not going to be waived".

It's all in the management of the bank and how they view their customers. They certainly have an attitude in which the customer is not valued.

I am done with them.
