Our founder, Jacob Henry Flamm, established the H. Flamm and Company (a department store) in Rexburg, Idaho in 1886 to which he added a funeral parlor in 1888. He also opened the H.Flamm and Company store in St. Anthony. That business later closed after a loss by fire.
Henry served as Rexburg's first mayor and was prominent in the development of the community. The funeral home he founded is now operated by his great grandsons, Garth and Bert Flamm, on First East in Rexburg and on First North in St. Anthony.
