Provided by YP.comI recently took my vacuum to American Sew N Vac. Wow! I could not believe the service. My vacuum came back looking like the first day I bought it. The owner, George, patiently explained what was wrong with it and how he had fixed it. While I was there I asked if he carried the bags as well, I have had a hard time finding them. He had them!
I now send everyone I know to American Sew N Vac.

Provided by YP.comif there was a negative one star this place would get it - about the worst customer service I ve ever experienced- $400 machine after 2 months broke- 2 months of excuses later we had to pay to send it back to manufacture because all of a sudden after he ordered wrong part - forgot to order the part and on and on he decided it was our fault he couldn t fix it !!??

Provided by YP.comI apologize for the inability to acquire backordered parts in a timely fasion. Curtiousy & respect are an important part of our business. That is why we have a very high customer return rate. There are times when dealing with the vendors that we purchase parts from that we are not given good information on delivery times on backorder parts. 98 % of the time this is not the case. Just need the 98% to make comments. Just give us a try and see for yourself.

Provided by YPmobileIt has been a long time since I have experienced this poor of service. I was promised parts and service and it was never delivered. I got a lot of excuses. My money was accepted though. But the worst was the discourtisy that was consistently used towards me all of the times I had to travel over to the shop or speak on the phone.

Provided by YPmobileAfter reading the other reviews I did not want to use this company for my sewing machine repair but since it was the only one in the area I gave it a try and had a great experience! The gentleman running the store was very nice and very helpful. He took the time to show me and explain to me what was wrong with my machine and what he would have to do to fix it. He also told me since there was a holiday weekend it might be another week before he could get it done but it was actually finished only two days after the holiday weekend. A lot sooner than I expected. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely use this shop again.

Provided by YP.comI wish I could give him a 0000 rating. Started out bad, he would not help me carry my embroidery machine inside, he wouldn't even hold the door open. I left multillpe messages and received no return call. After a week I reached him, he was very rude an unprofessional. He advised me that he hasn't looked at my machine and would do it MAYBE by the end of next week he would take a look at i.! When I went to pick up my machine, still broken, he was rude and arrogant and acted like we were bothering him. The best part, he managed to spill coffee on my machine and did not bother to clean it off! Stay away from this business!

Provided by YP.comI soo totally agree with dwbstaug. This was ABSOLUTELY my experience. STAY AWAY!!! I brought my Beam to him. I waited a week and when I came to pick it up it was still broken. He claimed he had lost my phone number and could not call me to let me know. He said he had to order a new head, and while we were there he "called the manufacturer" to order it. He then PROMISED it would be done by the end of the week. I waited 2+ weeks and had not heard, so drove the 20 miinutes to pick it up. When I got there, he was semi-rude and asked what I wanted. I told him I was picking up the Beam vacuum, and he said it wasn't done. I asked why it wasn't finished when he had promised it 2weeks ago, and he claimed the motor was on back order. I was extremely surprised at this and said "Back order???" He said yes, and what did I want him to do about it. I told him I felt the LEAST he could have done was given me the courtesy of a phone call letting me know. At this point he went into the back room, came out with my vacuum and practically THREW it at me, saying he didn't need to be harassed and I could just take my vacuum and get out. I said , "Are you KIDDING ME.? I've physically driven down here two different times and don't even rate the courtesy of a phone call???" He said "Have a nice day." I am FLABBERGASTED! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! And apparently you can't give zero stars.

Provided by YP.comI went here with a sewing machine that I had bought second hand elsewhere that I thought I might have really made a BAD purchase. The bobbin case appeared to be sitting too high and it would not sew properly at all. A gentleman here (I am assuming the owner) fixed the problem almost immediately and it sews GREAT! I cannot tell you how happy I am!! The prices were reasonable and the service superb!This man is strictly business and does not want to chit-chat but he certainly knows what he is doing!! 2 thumbs up for American Sew & Vac! I will always go here with any future needs and will tell as many people as I can about the place!
