HORRIBLE SERVICE!

We were regulars here several days per week until we discovered how much they DO NOT value their customers. On last visit we picked up bagels on the way to the office and upon opening the bag we discovered that one of the bagels was totally mangled with what appeared to be a bite taken out. I didn't eat it - I just snapped a pic on my phone and threw it out. I advised the store owner Kathleen of the issue and she accused me of messing it up just to try and get a free bagel out of them. Huh?! My boyfriend called and had a conversation with the owner about my experience, and at first she claims so many of her customers try to scam her everyday, but then she apologizes to him, offers to buy us breakfast the next time we came in if we ever decided to give them another chance. Then a few days later when I return she totally reneges on her offer! Unbelievable! We will NEVER return after receiving sub par customer service and insults... Not to mention the bagels are nothing to write home about.

And to Kathleen (the owner): You FAILED. You were given an opportunity to keep us as a customer and you blew it - AGAIN. Business does not seem to be your forte based on your other unpaid reviews which all echo my concerns. Please stop making excuses that you are "small" and that's why you treat your customers like garbage when they have an issue with the food THAT YOUR OWN STAFF CAUSED. Nobody is trying to scam you out of a $3 bagel... GET. OVER. IT. In this world, customer service is the only thing that matters. If someone buys a bagel (and it is not EXACTLY as they ordered) and they ask for replacement it is NOT that you are being generous and giving them a FREE bagel. Oh no, it is the customer being generous and continuing to give you their business despite your mess up. If you messed up the bagel, then you should replace it and not give this "I can't afford to replace it since we are a small business" excuse. OWN IT. Train your staff better. And my God, please stop asking "to stay or to go today?". Say it like the rest of the world... "is it for here or to-go?"... Kathleen, I urge you to drive a few miles down the road and check out how another local business operates... Maple Street Biscuit Co. They just took your customer - Why? Because they have great customer service... BYE BYE!

They are the BEST!!! All of their bagels are good - my favorite is the Asiago Cheese. They offer conolli's straight from Brooklyn and according to my wife, daughter & son-in-law are to die for. All the faces you see behind the counter are wonderful!
