Since its establishment in 1964, United Laboratories has been a leader in the specialty chemical business by providing clients with more than 300 pioneering products. In the 1970s, United was one of the first companies to introduce citrus-based cleaners named Solar Solvents. In the 1980s, it introduced enzyme-based products called Zyme-Line. It newest additions are cleaners that are a safe alternative to phosphoric and hydrochloric acid-based products called Earth Smart Acid. The company produces chemicals for a variety of needs that include automotive, carpet care, coatings and sealants, concrete and asphalt car, degreasers, disinfectants, facility maintenance and repair, food service, housekeeping, laundry, polishes, and turf and grounds care. United Laboratories provides service to more than 20,000 customers through its United States facilities in St. Charles, Ill., and Sparks, Nev., as well as its Canadian facility in Downsview, Ontario.
