This may very well be a great company who does a great service. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to find out due to poor communication & business practices.



ABS Auto Glass was referred to me by my insurance company. They are based in St. Cloud Florida, but service many nearby counties.



My experience is that this company does not seem to employ anyone who speaks English as a first language. The guy I initially spoke with was incredibly difficult to understand or talk to. The best I ended up with was that my number was passed on to a technician who was to phone me when he was in my area. He did & he showed up, on time, as stated. He appreared to be quite young & very kind.



However, when I attempted to ask questions or talk to him in person, he simply nodded or stared blankly at me after each sentence. It was clear to me that he wasn't understanding what I was saying....or perhaps just didn't know how to respond back in English? In the end, we had to postpone work due to weather.



He was to phone me back the next morning, but never did. We ended up playing phone tag. When I called to find out what was going on, I again was faced with another person that didn't speak proper English. This is so frustrating!



After four days of this, I ended up going with another company for my auto glass service. It's unfortunate, as this company might have done a good job. But communication is KEY when running a business. English is the first language in this country & ABS Auto Glass should really have both administrative employees who speak it (on the phone) as well as technicians who speak it fluently. They lost this customer due to it. I am sure I am not the only one.



I have since phoned my insurance company to let them know of the service & difficultly I experienced, so that they know not to refer them out in the future.



So future customers beware that you may end up in a maze of a language barrier when attempting to contact this company.
