Since my parents are physicians and my father is an interventional cardiologist, I grew up around the field of medicine. I was impressed by the impact they had on a patient's life and knew that I wanted to accomplish the same purpose with my life. I believe in treating the patient the way I would want to be treated, with the relationship involving clear communication, respect for their opinions and time, and explanation of the evaluation and treatment of their condition. Joint, informed decision-making promotes patients' investment in their own health as the patient and physician work together to achieve common goals. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, hiking, visiting museums, and sightseeing.
