Parks & Building Maintenance works to provide safe and functional facilities that support the recreational and visual needs of residents. It operates amphitheaters, playgrounds, restrooms, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, pavilions, volleyball courts, softball fields, walking paths, fishing ponds and splash pads. The department maintains a canyons complex that features scoreboards, covered dugouts, warning tracks, playground facilities, picnic areas and home run fences. Parks & Building Maintenance administers an antigraffiti program. Its park maintenance division is responsible for the preservation of parks, landscape right of ways and city building grounds. The department is a part of the City of St. George in Utah.
