St. Helena Wine Merchants, located between Rutherford and St. Helena, was established by the Yates family in 1983 with the mission of procuring hard-to-find, rare wines. "I personally guarantee everything I sell," says our proprietor Jeff Yates. "I refuse to lose a customer based on a bad bottle of wine." That is why we are so critical of the wines we taste. "Quality, at whatever the price, is the key." Although serious and particular about our business, our staff of wine specialists are highly approachable and amiable.
