Provided by YP.comGreat new building and grounds. A good music program with various bands, choirs. Academics are comprehensive. Except for baseball, they offer various sports for kids to compete in with surrounding schools.
There are many teachers and administrators who combined their faith and teaching/administrative skills to truly enrich my childrens' lives. Some teachers are a bit more patient than others, tho all do strive for fairness.
I personally think that their aim to ramp up academic standards has put more stress on teachers. Thus, any child who causes even moderate disruption, pulls time away from the teacher reaching higher goals. (My opinion).
They are definitely 4 star in many categories...even approaching 5 star at times. So why is my average rating only 3 stars???

I rate them 2 stars for their refusal to honor DR ML King. For a few years, even after surrounding schools closed to honor DR ML King, Crown Point Christian remained open.
Their "answer" told to me was...that "Dr. ML King was an educator and would not want children to miss a day of school on his account".
Currently (as of 2014-2015) their school calendar states that they now will take off the Friday before the official DR ML King Monday holiday as a "records" day.
However, they will still... remain open the Monday immediately following that weekend. Monday is the day which is when most area schools take off in their official recognition of Dr. ML King day.
CPCS states that they wish to prepare the child to live as a responsible Christian adult someday. Doesn't that include..raising children to live, work, even worship along children of other races?
Here, the words of DR ML King's "I have a Dream" speech, along with his involvement of many white persons in his racial justice marches, could be instructive. Consider field trips to expose children not in CPCS athletic programs to children of other races. Work to find and hire qualified Christian teachers of other races.
Today, we have much renewed racial division, due to events in Ferguson, MO and elsewhere, and due to divisive leaders who seek to stir up race based hatred rather than reconciliation.
It is time for the CPCS Board and Parents to carefully reexamine their approach to racial reconciliation. It's a key part of living as a Christian in today's world.
