Robert Warren and Harry Little set up a sawmill in 1889. It later became known as the American Walnut Company and set up its manufacturing facility in St. Joseph, Mo. The company manufactures hardwood lumber with seven-inch band mills, circular mills as well as planers, molders, profilers and double-ended trimmers. Its product line ranges from black walnut gunstock to the manufacturing of prestigious hardwood lumber such as walnut, red oak, white oak, soft maple, hard maple, pecan, ash and cottonwood. American Walnut s services include export packaging, container loading, in-house freight forwarding, computer piece tally as well as special sorting of width and length available. The American Walnut Company is headquartered in Kansas City, Kan.
