My family and I have always gone to Colony House. They have always have a nice selection and good service, new house, new furniture. We don't have a lot of place to choose from in town but we are very pleased to be going to Colony House for many years.

We bought 2 Lazy boy recliners from the store. We were told it would take ten weeks to get them in, why so long I guess it was a special order no problem. We ask that we be called at home when they came in. My wife called Wed. a.m. and the lady said they had been in all week. I hate it when you are told you will be called so you can pick your furniture up. Bad business practice this is our 2nd pair of LZ-Boys. Last time customers for us.

Mr. Wittler, was let go in October of 2012. The arrest came from he was stealing fuel from our store. We are sorry for an inconvience that we may have caused. We believe that everyone desrves a chance and when you take that attitude you do take a chance of making a mistake. Thank you for your concern.

***January 8th, 2013 UPDATED FROM 5 MONTHS AGO*** I originally posted that they hired MIKE WITTLER, a convicted felon(Case number 12AW-CR00256-01 Burglary - 2nd Degree) who is on parole for 5 years to deliver for them, this was 5 month, So here is the update: MIKE WITTLER was arrested again for stealing on DEC 16 (case number: 13BU-CR02795). Apparently he plead guilty and was given 6 months probation, I'm not sure how he got probation while being on parole but that's something the Buchanan County prosecuting attorney could answer. SO, If they hadn't fired him before this I hope they will now. If MIKE DID THIS while working I would guess that Colony House could be held liable for allowing him access to people's homes knowing about his past. So if you had anything come up missing and MIKE was the delivery person you were warned about him and I'd contact the police.

The Colony House has a wide variety of furniture and prices to match. If you are looking to spend a little or a lot, you can find it at the Colony House! The Quality of the furniture is excellent, I purchased a leather set there years ago and it is still in new condition. The service does not compare to other department stores. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and works for you!!!!
