Ivy Steel & Wire is a division of M.M.I. Products and began operations in Jacksonville, Fla., in 1953. The company has since grown into one of the largest producers of wire and wire mesh in the country. Operating from eight plants, it is able to provide a large variety of products throughout the country. Ivy Steel & Wire is a major producer of mesh that ranges in size and style from standard rolls and sheets of building mesh to custom designed mesh for large buildings and bridges. The company is privately held and has a plant in St. Joseph, Mo. The St. Joseph plant employs approximately 120 people.
