My Fiancé purchased my engagement ring at BB&B St. Louis in January. He waited about six weeks to get the ring. He had chosen the diamond blindly because they don't carry an assortment in the store to chose from. When He got the ring he noticed a large cloud in the center of the diamond and a few large black carbon spots. After he proposed, we had the ring appraised. It was valued at over $1000 less than we actually paid. We went back to the store and asked to have a new diamond. We ended up paying an extra $2800 to have the exact same diamond just certified by CIA. (We are now up to 11000 for the ring). We waited another few weeks for the diamond replacement to come in. Meanwhile, he noticed a stone had already fallen out of the ring. I had only had it for a month! Once we got it back, they had to make a new band for the upgraded diamond we had purchased, that took another six weeks. That band arrived and it was awful. The Halo was almost 2 cm away from the diamond. It was clear they hadn't had the right dimensions for the diamond when making the band. SO we waited ANOTHER 6 weeks for a new band. Once that arrived, three weeks later another diamond fell out of the band. Jill, the woman we worked with was awesome. I could tell she felt really bad about all of our problems. However the managers were TERRIBLE. So rude. They wouldn't even speak to us when we came into the store. Not to mention my Fiancee was living in Florida and had to fly back to St. Louis several times because of these issues. Our experience was an absolute nightmare. He proposed to at the beginning of Feb but didn't end up with a final ring until mid June. In the end we returned the ring and went through Blue Nile. Best decision ever. Just wish we hadn't wasted so much time and money through Bailey Banks & Biddle. DON'T BUY FROM HERE.
