The volleyball here is poorly ran, and the commissioner actually went trying to pick a fight with our team before telling the refs not to be afraid to throw us off the court? Our crime? Not having a second girl, and still wanting to participate. We happily played with 2, but that wasn't enough for the Bar 101 staff, instead had one of our players removed from the bar because he told the commissioner to go tend bar and stop causing drama. Then the bartender proceeded to call the guy a fgt and talked trash the entire time the guy was leaving. Highly professional, and cost them at least two recreational teams for the future. I'd avoid this place, there's plenty of other establishments where you can be treated better for less.

They treat their customers like crap. They charge a cover with no band, drink specials, nor even a DJ. They will call PAYING CUSTOMERS "effin idiots" as they walk out the door. Bar 101 has no respect for Soulard neighbors and disrespects clients. Don't waste your money...stay away.

I keep reading all of these reviews and they sound like adertising. Very supicious. I did not have a good experience here. The girls are dressed like Hooters girls, the food is mediocre bar food, and the patio does not compare to many of the bier gartens in Soulard and last time I checked, table umbrellas are not cabanas.. The person writing most of these reviews probably works there. That's all I can say.

Bar 101 is our bar for all sporting events! They have sand volleyball leagues five nights a week, numerous big screen tvs and a projection screen tv! We love coming down here before a blues or cardinals game. They have a great happy hour, good food thats reasonably priced and a free shuttle to the blues and cardinals game. And after the events its good to know the kitchen is open till 2am. Finally a sports bar that caters to sports fans!

Obviously I am a Mizzou fan. So when they play Bar101 Soulard is where I go plenty of big screens and profectors keep the action going. I love the customers and workers, they are real and down to earth. The food is great, I like the froglegs. The patio has a stage and outdoor bar, it's a nice dinner spot before we take the free shuttle to the cards game. We joined a sand volleyball league and they let me bring my puppy, yes they are dog friendly. If there is one downfall, it is when we are dancing outside it is quite a walk to the restrooms inside. This place is huge!

I have played sand volleyball in the city and county and this place easily has the best setup. The courts are great and I don't have to worry about where I step and the patio is spacious and there is plenty of room to sit back and relax.

They claim to be the largest bar and patio in the Lou. The patio is amazing, open play sand vball and the slip and slide on the weekends make it unique. Took my brother on his 25th with the parents, everyone had a blast. The only place I know that has reggae bands outside, the way its meant to be enjoyed. Only prob, gets a little to crowded after 1am, I guess because its a 3am bar. So we just take the free shuttle to the games and scoot after 11pm.

I would not recommend going to this bar at all...I went for opening night and the guy at the door looked at my ID and told me " I am going to tell you straight up, your pants are to baggy for a girl". I will be reporting then to the better business bureau.
