Closest coffee shop to SLU - the Cafe has a variety of seating options including cozy, comfortable seating around the fireplace on a chilly day, outside patio seating for warm sunny days and the Think Tank for study days when you need a place to study with a group. My fave is their coffee and beignets - they were excellent and reasonably priced. The black bean breakfast burrito is an excellent choice for breakfast!

BEIGNETS: This needs its own section, because they are that good!
Neat little coffee house and a bonus is their free wifi service that comes in handy when studying. Lots of great menu selections.

I went here for brunch this weekend and it was AWESOME! The cafe had a great energy and the food and service was excellent.

Adjacent to St. Louis university campus, I found Cafe Ventana. Being a student and centrally located to my housing, I gave it a try. A great combo coffee house and DELICIOUS SOFT MEALS.
FRIEND, do you need an excellent place?
Then Cafe Ventana is the answer.
They have a nice patio if you have a larger group.
I have been there with my fellow students for study sessions and the think tank is a perfect accommodation.
Great prices and the best beignets outside of New Orleans.
