The Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Saint Louis, the superstructure of the Cathedral was built between 1907 and 1914. The Cathedral's 100th Anniversary is being celebrated in 2014. It is known for its' beautiful interior mosaics, which took nearly 80 years to create using more than 41 million pieces of glass tesserae. Provided by YP.comSo I'm from St. Louis and had never been here, although it was on the list to see one day...I had relative in town and said let's stop here......it is truly breathtaking and something very amazing in St. Louis to see......I knew and had heard...but until you see the church in person......you will never know......great gem in STL.......
