Provided by YP.comDon't waste your tyime and money on this spot. Plus the owners theat you like they're doing you a favor by letting you fish there. I had been going to chip away for over 35 years. Fishing was great there for a number of those years but over the past several years the water seemed to have a lack of oxygen. I base my findings on these reasons: Altough you see plenty of fish in the water they sluggishly swim along the banks sometimes upside-down, the lack of fish caught and other information that I obtained from the previous owners. My latest trip was the most disappointing. One of my sons was visiting from out of town so we, along with one of my other sons decided to go to chip away for old-time sake. We purchased our favorite catfish bait from their bait shop. Wev'e used this brand for the past 3 or 4 years and know that it is a great bait that stays on the hook. After choosing our spot on the lake I opened the bait only to find that it was too soft to use so I immediately walked back to the shop and asked if I could exchange it. I was greeted by thee woman behind the counter in a very hostle manner. She (of Asian decent) had trouble understanding English so I was very carefull not to offend her when I asked for an exchange. The female at the counter kept screaming at me and told me that she would not even sell me anything else. My sons and I had just spent over $50 with this same woman at the counter 10 minutes earlier in their shop alone. We fished all night and did'nt catch anything nor did we see anyone else catch any except those half dead fish that a couple people had netted along side the banks. (crawfish eat your bait fast too) I will NEVER go there again because of the lack of good fishing and because of the owners nasty disposition. I would take away the 1 star if I could!!!
