Dr. Christine Boumitri specializes in diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions, as well as cancer prevention and screening for gastrointestinal diseases. She performs diagnostic procedures such as colonoscopy, endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. Inaddition, Dr. Boumitri treats patients with inflammatory bowel disease,including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Her research interests include device development and innovation in endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease,pancreatobiliary disorders and medical education. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Boumitri is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
