This retirement community offers independent housing for senior adults with limited resources. Founded more than 40 years ago as a nonprofit, its mission is to provide affordable, quality senior living in a caring, secure, diverse, and friendly atmosphere, honoring the Jewish tradition. Crown Center is located in a lovely, vibrant neighborhood in University City and serves 250 older adults. It has become a community center, as well, bringing programs, transportation, meals, social services, and activities to residents and older adults in the surrounding area. This is an outstanding value for the rental cost, and some residents see it as the best kept secret in low income senior housing in the area.
