KETC, founded in 1954, is a nonprofit, public broadcasting television station, owned and operated by St. Louis Regional and Educational Public Television Commission. It offers a variety of educational documentaries and cultural programs, and operates digital channels that include PBS HD, KETC Kids and Channel 9. The station undertakes television programming and transmission of community outreach programs and nationally televised series.
