Provided by YPmobileDO NOT go here for a banquet style event! I had my son's rehearsal dinner at this venue and I must say it was a bait and switch. We ate at the restaurant three times before the event and the food every was excellent each time. We decided on a very simple menu of toasted ravioli, salad, chicken marsala with "fresh/seasonal" squash and pasta con broccoli. The only part of the meal worth eating was the toasted ravs. The salad was never served. The chicken tasted as if it had been boiled or microwaved. The marsala sauce was lacking and thin. The squash was overcooked and mushy. Each plate of pasta con broccoli was swimming in a cheesy sauce with about six pieces of pasta. The food was comparable to institutional cafeteria fare. This was nothing like the food we had experienced on previous visits. When I complained to Andrea the following day (she wasn't there the night of the event) she basically told me I was wrong! And that the food was marvelous and properly prepared. She asked what she could do to "fix" the situation and I told her to send a gift certificate so my son could come back and (hopefully) enjoy the meal he expected on his special night.....I've never heard from her again. You can't get a do-over for a special occasion so avoid the place like the plague!

Provided by YP.comI am puzzled at the poor reviews for Campisi's. I have been coming here for 7 years and I have always enjoyed the food, the service and the Tiramisu. I like the salads and the specials. They are one of the few places on the Hill that is open on Sundays. I like this place a lot.

Provided by YP.comIf you must eat here do not use Vince M as your server he has four kids he doesn't pay for and hasn't in 10 years. If you tip him you are just supporting deadbeat dads. Ask for another server.

Provided by YP.comMy fianc'e and I were hungry while touring the hill and found Mama Campisi's. The owner greeted us at the door with a smile and we were seated right away. The prices were wonderful as the portions, we left paying less than $30 and with a doggy bag. The chicken lasagana was the best thing I have ever tasted. And the staff was wonderfully attentive. In the spring we have now decided to have Mama cater our wedding and to have the reception in their banquet hall. We could not be more happy with out experience!!!!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWent to momma's tonite for the first time,
Walked in and was greeted by a gentleman singing and was then seated .
ordered our food my husband told the waiter absolutely no onions as I am allergic to them, his first bite there was an onion.
We got our dinner and I ordered fried shrimp.
There was plenty of it but it was also over fried and way too dark which made it tough.
my side of pasta tasted like it came right out of a jar and had no seasoning at all.
The whole time my husband and I ate and tried to talk the singer kept interupting by coming to the table and singing. we tried to ignore him but he must have came back at least 5 or 6 times.
I would Not go back if you paid me.

Provided by YP.comLONG STORY SHORT DONT GET SCAMMED HERE & DONT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD!
I made plans to have dinner here for my 21st birthday. I invited about 6 or so guest to join me. The limo did drop us off late but I called them ahead of time to let them know we were running late and they said that was fine. We get there and order our food and a few drinks. I ordered a margarita and it was absolutely terrible! Then when our food came MY FOOD WAS STILL ICE COLD! AND IT WAS MY 21ST BIRTHDAY. Dispite my disappointment I didnt make a big deal of it and asked them to please reheat my food (sounds like real home made italian huh). It took them so long to heat my food that by the time I was able to get my food back everyone was finished eating. I ended up having to take my food to go so I could make other plans. I paid for the balance in cash a friend offered to pay the tip on her card. Come to find out waiter re-entered her credit card and charged her for the entire bill. Then when we tried to fix the situation they claimed it was the credit card companys issue. Eventually she was able to get her money back but it was a nightmare!
