Nana Atsina spent her formative years in Ames, Iowa and relocated to Ghana in West Africa when she was 13 years old. Her father was a clinician who worked with medically underserved communities and has served as a major role model in her life. She enjoys the challenge of caring for complex health conditions, and her senior patients are very close to her heart. When she’s not at work, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two children.
